That is pretty hilarious. I'd be interested to see how drinkable it is.

It will make something that at least resembles beer and has alcohol in it. What more could we all rally ask for? Budweiser makes a pretty decent penny using the same business model.

Just an fyi, but I see most of your spice additions are a 60 minute boil. I imagine you'd get a lot more character from them if you added them at flame-out.

If you boil them for 60 min you're sure to lose any volatile oils they contain.

No real telling where all that bitterness came from...that is one HELL of a lot of water salts!!
Not too much there in the way of malt either.

Vance, our approach to developing recipes are vastly different, I prefer the less is more approach, you the more is more.

Very interesting, I just hope things don't get too muddled. Some of the best beers I've ever made only include 2 malts and 1 hop variety.

Edit: All of the herbal beers I've read about used infusion as a method instead of boiling. You might want to give this a shot and split it up in gallons or growlers so you can see what you like, another kitchen cabinet beer I guess.

I've made a fantastic pilsner with 1 malt and 1 hop variety (german pils malt and saaz hops)

Despite the lies on commercials, Budweiser is NOT a pilsner. The only way it resembles a pilsner is color.

Yeah, actual light beers made outside of Bud/Miller/Coors are pretty good.

It took me some time to come to this realization, but I'm finally here drinking away on a nice pilsner or Kolsch now and again. As for light beers, there's always time for a witbier or any of the Belgian/French ales.

There's more to light beer than Budweiser (which isn't actually beer imo).

Though, I think it came more from actually starting to judge beer and trying to dig for flavors/aromas of different ingredients. It took some time, but the cycle came around and pilsner malt is a beautiful thing when used properly.

Common category name, used by members of the beer industry, for BMC is "Malt Pop." ;)

So what category would Budweiser,Coors, millers fall under other than crappy beer?

American Lager. Basically, bland, inoffensive, fizzy, yellow beer, made with loads of adjunct, minimal hops, and lager yeast. Flavour (good or bad) is a fault.

Real pilsners are awesome.

I don't know where you live, but if you can find a Victory Prima Pils, try it. I'll just tell you it's not Budweiser.

How did you even come up with this? I don't think I could make a 3 course meal using all these ingredients.

OK, how, when that obviously drunk, did you manage to remember what all you put in there, or were able to read what you had written while in that condition?

My woman at the time was also my brewing assistant, she wrote everything down, on all my batches.
