The new Montana law places the max alcohol content of beer at 14% (by volume). I'm expecting some high % beers from the local breweries. I saw an 8.1 lager in a 40 oz can at the convenience store. Too many memories of malt liquor came to my mind to actually purchase this beer. Ok, you want me to say it? I was scared. Alright. I was scared.

Montana has the potential to become the Napa Valley of Beer. (So states the article I was reading on it from Rocky Mountain Brewing News). The local breweries are already putting out some good beer, I just hope this new law inspires them. If not, it may just inspire me.

A 40 ounce beer CAN? This is second time I've heard of such a thing, but have never seen one (and figured it was a typo the first time I read it). Anyone got a photo or link? What brand/brewery?

I'll buy one maybe tomorrow and take a picture of it. I can't guarantee I can get the picture to this computer but I'll try.

I don't remember what the max was before but I think it was in the 6%-7% range because I never saw or heard about any beer higher than 6.1% or so.
