Just uncapped a couple of my Heather Ales. I think it's going to be a holiday favorite. It takes about half a beer to aquire a taste for it, but after that it was quite tasty. Well worth the expense and effort.

one of my first favorite beers... i ought to revisit it. Alba, made with pine tips, is also excellent. I was a little less enthusiastic about kelpie, but you can't blame them for trying interesting things.

I'm always interested in new recipes if you'd like to share.

Bruce Williams conducted tastings of Scottish beers at the Brickskeller which of course featured his Froach. I have had it on several other occasions as well. I tried the Alba recently and enjoyed it but can't see drinking it as a session beer. I was intregued about it as I read very mixed reviews on another site. I think it may have been Oxford Bottled Beer Database. I have not yet tried the Kelpie.

I haven't tried this beer yet myself, but a fellow home brewer makes an oustanding Heather-Mead, a bottle of which I am usually the highest bidder at our annual home-brew club fund-raiser - which I often share with one of my best friends, Heather. ;)
