The recipe looks good, but if it was me I' d go with Northdown hops instead of the Northern Brewer and Saaz are not a typical stout hop, I'd go with Fuggles. This is only what I'd do tho...it's your beer, brew it how you want. Here is a list of "typical" stout hops according to my source:

Kent Goldings
Bullion
Fuggles
Horizon
Northdown

Of course there are others and you have your own personal preference...so brew on!

Should turn out to be a nice brew. I have used No. Brewer hops in a stout before with good results. I would probably change up the flavor hops, though. I would go with Fuggles or even Cascade.

Just my $.02.

i just love the name of the beer,
you should bottle it in wine bottles so it takes 14 -28 minutes to drink one.

Why? What is the significance of 14-28 minutes?

It's a Grateful Dead song that generally lasted anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes.

I did realise that the hops were off on this 1 .. but ...its what i had to work with so i decided since i like saaz and its the only hop i have 2 oz. of.....why not? the aroma over the airlock is spicy as hell as i poured wort and hops and all into primary....good idea about the big bottles i may store a few in fischer cage bottles 1 pint i believe....but most is hittin the Tap-A=Draft ive been dieing to try a stout in it since i got it.

Have you ever heard the cd "greyfolded"? It is parts of every darkstar seamlessly strung together over 2 cd's. If you can appreciate a good darkstar this is really up your alley.

never heard of it but i bet it is long!!!!!!
There is a group of guys up here called the "gratefully dedicated soundsystem" and they mix live, bootleg, studio and covers of all dead songs. It is really amazing if you can appreciate that kind of thing?
