I usually staple them to the inside wall of my garage. It makes for interesting reading while I am out there "fixing the car."
Besides, it provides necessary insulation in the winter months.

BTW, any particular ones you are loking for?

i think that is a good idea to staple them to the wall...I really will collect them from any microbrew six pack i buy when traveling...i beleive that the art work is very amazing...the competetion is so tough that the six pack is really what sparks many buyers to choose one over the other...just a thought...but I believe its true...now ive had some medicore beer in some great colorful six pack cartons and some great beer in some medicore six packs...beats throwingh them away...would consider any microbrew six pack that anyone wants to buy or trade...you rarely see them on ebay....susprise

I wish I had all the old ones I had from the 80s. I used to staple them to a wall in the basement of a house I was living in. I left them when I moved out. I also left about 500 empty bottles on shelves I had built. I saved one bottle of every different beer that I drank for a little over a year. I left some rare/collectable bottles there. My roommates eventually sold the bottle collection to some fraternity. Shelves and all.

Hey... did you want the whole sixer, or just the artwork on the side? That would make it easier to ship...

You probably wouldn't want any Bell's six-packs then, it's your basic white sixer on which is glued a bottle label from whichever of their beers is inserted! More money saved for ingredients I guess.

While New Glarus from Wisconsin has interesting artwork on their sixers, they employ a similar minimalist, money saving method. On the end of each sixer is a list of all their beers with a check box next to each name. Whatever beer is inserted gets a magic-marker check next to its name on the sixer.

Both Bells and New Glarus have sterling reputations for quality products. They probably do not need as much "eye appeal".

WAIT a minute... I'm sitting in front of a 6er carton of Bell's Two Hearted Ale with real artwork! Granted it's the same as what's on the bottle, but it's not a sticker. It's a real carton with real ink! And it's just one of the ones I've been saving here... wish we'd hear from the person who wants them!

Well that's new - haven't seen any of those in N. Illinois, where'd you get it?

And Chaz, I agree - the money saved on printing custom six-packs goes into good ingredients for great beer...unlike some "other" marketing campaigns...

I've seen Bell's sixers both ways...some varieties have artwork done on the carrier other varieties just have a label slapped on a plain white carrier...

I wonder if the local stuff doesn't get the cool artwork because they don't have to grab people's attention where they already know about the beer... or maybe this is a change, and when they run out of old stock in the carriers they'll replace them with the new, and eventually they'll all have cool artwork. Bell's is getting national attention, aren't they? Everyone on this board seems to know about them...

This is my hunch. It seems like a few years back, almost all varieties were the plain carrier with a label pasted on. Since then, a few have changed over. My guess is the biggest sellers, or the one's with the most turnover, get changed to a designed carrier first. It seems the seasonals, or special releases don't seem to have designed carriers.

I was at a homebrew competition a couple years back in St. Cloud, MN and somehow they got Larry Bell, the head brewer to MC the event. I had him autograph a six pack carrier of the Two Hearted Ale. Very cool guy, down to earth and loved talking with all the homebrewers. That was a fun time!

Maybe They are working on expanding thier market and will have to invest in the "eye appeal" carrier. But their reputation definitely proceeds them. They make great beer.

I'm guessing it's because fish hearts are two-chambered?

wow....i guess it's better to just put the whole fish up then instead of just the heart huh? ;)

I have several for you too. I have visited both Grittys and usually enjoy their beers. Maine, in general, has outstanding beers and breweries.

Maine, the way beer should be....yes, maine does have some fine brews....one of my favorites is Andrews St. Nick Porter...a fine brew for those chilly nights...and with last night being 20 degrees below zero...brrr...it was time to put another log on the fire and crack open another porter...mmmmm....i will look forward to hearing from both of you on what six pack carriers you may be willing to send my way...look forward to working out a trade that is mutually satisfying, until then have another beer...

I usually save all my Schell's specialty cartons when I buy some. I don't buy alot as I brew my own generally. They retooled all their labeling and cartons about a year ago, so you may not have the new ones(or old for that matter). But is Schell's considered a micro? You be the judge.

If you let me know what you want, perhaps I can send (or trade for something) some six pack holders from the Midwest (and other areas). Three Floyds has some interesting art and as mentioned, Bell's is putting art on some of the cartons now. My local store has a great variety of beer, so maybe I can help some of you out.
