Hello all,

Quick question. Going to go visit the parents next month and they are near Lawrence, KS. Anybody know of some good spots to take dad for a nice beer? I think he is tired of my brother and his pi$$ water he drinks.

Freestate Brewery is in downtown Lawrence. Been there once, great place to have a beer.

Nice to see something there now... when I was there at school, you couldn't get anything in a bar better than 3.2 Coors. We used to make runs to KCMO to smuggle back Grain Belt at $4 a case.

Restof, let us know if you stopped in at Freestate. It's been a few years since I have been there.

If you make it into Kansas City you have a few more options that I think other members can expand on.
