I was thinking of trying to organize a community brew day. With the growing participation in IRC, my thinking was that we could all brew and hang out in irc. It would give a chance for everyone to interact real time while they brew.

Those with Web cams could hook em up so that people could watch their brew session. I dont currently have a web cam but will try to get one for this.

Iwas hoping to do this soon, perhaps in the 28-30 of december range.

Let me know what you guys think.

edit- this day will also be open to people who dont brew to hang out in irc and watch web cams perhaps we will even convert a few of ya!

Happy 400th Tweek! Sounds like a good idea to me. Don't know if I'll be around, but I'll certainly try!

Tweek I don't think too many people will be around at that time. Maybe try around the second week in Jan? Most people will be back at work trying to get rid of the Holiday Fat...and brewing is hard work for some.

yeah the time was mearly a suggestion. Ill be on vacation that week so it works out good for me, but its not set in stone that it needs to happen then.

49 views and only 2 replys? No takers? This can be real simple, you are going to brew anyway it would be fun to do it while you are in a real time chat. Like I said the time was just a suggestion I am flexible.

I know the last time I tried to organize an event it got all ramped up then fizzed out. That was a bit more complex than this, this time it is completely legal and free (cept the cost of your batch)

My only problem with this, besides the fact that it will be on a weekend, is my brewing takes place in the garage. My internet access is at the other end of the house. I would go ahead and brew and then could hook up in IRC. which reminds me, I need to sign up there.
