View Full Version : promash
I had the promash program on my old computer and recently replaced it with a new computer.Promash says to contact them for a new program if you lose the program or buy a new computer. I tried to contact promash for a new program but they never answer emails or the phone. Anyone else have trouble like this with promash......p.d.

Wow... that bites.
Do you still have the license key? If so, I might be able to help you out. Download the trial version and just put in the old key and you *should* be all set.
I just bought BeerTools due to the fact ProMash seems as if it is no longer updated. That's unfortunatel, too, because it is a great piece of software.
Thanks Jay, I downloaded it right from promash at the time. My old computer crashed so I am kinda done. How is beertools. Ever use beersmith. Thanks,p.d.

I used beer tools as a beta tester and it is a really great program that has some features thar beer smith lacks. One of which is showing you what your beer will look like in the glass (actual color in a glass). That is not to say that Beersmith is a bad program, on the contrary it is a really good program.

That's why the tell you to save the email.;) I just got a laptop, found the original email, and had it loaded in working in a few minutes. I figure Promash should get back to you eventually. Keep your head up and just re-download the trial version for now.

I just moved from PM to BeerTools, mainly because of the fact ProMash won't likely be updated again - ever. It is an excellent program, but it lacked a ton of grains (Maris Otter, for example). Even after an update to the program that added some grains, it was lacking.
BT's interface is really nice, well laid out, and once you get how things work it just makes sense.
I'd recommend BeerTools, but you won't go wrong with any of them.
