I want to wish all of you people a safe and happy Thanksgiving. I hope the turkey is perfect, the beer is the way you like it, and all the family and friends leave stuffed and happy.

Ditto here from the Beerking! Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Where is everyone going? I am staying home, and my sister and family are coming up from Richmond for dinner.

I've invited a few friends over. My son and his GF will be here, but my daughter won't make it. Some of my wife's French friends will be there, we all know how important Thanksgiving is in France(LOL). I also have invited my 3 employees from Ohio, 2 of them have never spent a holiday away from their families so they're coming over also. In 2 hours I'll put a 12 pound picnic shoulder on the smoker, we have a fresh 20 pound turkey and Brigitte is starting on the pies, cobblers and side dishes this morning.

Real nice! Very kind, and it should make your gathering extra special!

I moved to New Mexico when I was 18 and didn't know a single person here. I can remember how lonely that first Thanksgiving was, luckily some old mountain hippies invited me to their shack for T-day and I had a great time. I've always believed strongly in doing for others as I have had others do for me.

This is what I love about Thanksgiving, and why I insist on celebrating it here even if I have to do all the work. It is a day when we all come together to be thankful for what we have, and help those who don't have as much as we do.

Good for the "old mountain hippies", and good for you for keeping spirit of the day alive.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

We just moved out here to OK to be with family and most are leaving for Dallas to be with my sister-in-laws in-laws. Oh well they are coming over on Sunday for my little guys 2nd birthday so I guess it all works out. I bougth the requesite turkey and will just try and have a lazy day of cooking and watching our new LCD TV.

Corky, we had a group dinner like yours when I lived in CA. Most of us displaced from other parts of the country. Was really quite fun.

Lots of family, food, and drink. It'll be nice. Specially since all the women do all the cooking and cleaning.

Seriously though, I also wish all of you a safe and enjoyable holiday. I know even in these uncertain economic times we all still have something to be thankful for.

My dad and brother came down last weekend for an early turkey day considering we all work the day before and after. When I was stationed in Germany the wife and I always put on a big spread for the single guys, some of whom had unfortunately never had a real thanksgiving dinner.

We are staying home, taking advantage of being in port for the holidays. Guests coming over are two families from work and thier kids. A full house with lots of kids and tons of food from my wifes kitchen. She even broke out the nice china, I have to be careful.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, enjoy your holiday.

My best to all and I hope everyone has things they can be truly thanful for in these rough times.

We are having a small get together here at my home, though I have to work on turkey day from 6:30-3.

I spent Thanksgiving in a small cabin in Michigan's Upper Peninsula with 4 of my oldest and best friends. I drank several good beers and ate some very fresh venison.

Good times, but I did miss my wife and kids.
