Saturday my kegging supplies will arrive!

I'm totally stoked!

I'll also be brewing the stout half of my black and tan, so I should get to put the new equiptment to use right around Christmas.

Should be a good weekend :)

I'm sure you will like the ease and convenience of kegging. I would say I am 95%-5% kegging to bottling and I love it.

just a quick question... I want to bottle about a 6 pack from each batch. How do you bottle without a counter-pressure bottle filler? I tossed my bottling bucket due to a crack in the spigot (where an infection hid out), knowing I'd be kegging from now on, but I still want to get a few bottles out of each batch without buying anymore equiptment.

Fuji-
I'd put the appropriate # of Coopers Carbonation drops in the sixer I wanted to bottle and simply fill the bottles prior to filling the keg. Then, add appropriate priming sugar to the keg, or better yet, force carbonate for almost instant gratification!

Just bottle a few bottles when you rack to the keg.

Fill your keg, seal and pressurize at 4 psi, fill bottles (make sure your line is clean).

1) If you are force carbonating the keg, then just prime each bottle with what ever they say to use... i thinks its 1 tsp/12 oz bottle.

2) If you are naturally carbonating the keg, then add your priming suger before you fill the keg and release the pressure on the tank after you are done filling your bottles.
