I learned about beer and brewing just a short time ago I was working at Moosehead breweries as a student engineer in their bottling line and found out I don't like anything about macro where their decisions are influenced by money not quality and putting forth their best product, that is business I guess.

Fortunately I was aable to go to a home brew festival during that summer and as I was talking to some of the older boys who were brewing I embarked on a life changing descision.

I thne did another work term at a nuclear refit manufacturing plant then had enogh money to get me to Costa Rica for a month and was able to live in comfort as well as heading to New Zealand for another six months of poverty.

The following is what I discovered about the breweries in the country.

Croucher Brewing,

I have a special spot for this place in my heart as the head brewer took me under his wing for about 2 months of my travel and housed and fed me in exchange for cheap imigrant labour.

They were in their startup phase and were really good at teaching me the reasons behind their practises. the beers they offered were delsicious and when the single opperated bottling machine wasn't working at it's best we took home the samples for afternoon tea.

Croucher Pale Ale- An incredible pale ale that was well balanced and very rich in maltyness as well as having some of that fruity character from the yeast that I quite like.

Croucher Hefe- When we bottled this the whole brewery( a very small one) would smell of bananas and the taste of it.

Croucher Pilsner- Their most sought after beer a bohemian pilsner that will make you drool for more.

I will get into other breweries given time gotta rip to class.
