On Sunday I opened a 5-liter minikeg of Paulaner Oktoberfest that I bought during the 2007 Okt season. It tasted fresh and delicious! If you see any of the 2008 minikegs left, get some, especially if they're marked down.

No, but it had been stored in the basement in a cabinet on the floor against a wall, where the temp is probably around 60.

I'm hesitant to trust my taste alone (by that I mean that my first reaction was yum, wow, the Germans really have a knack for brewing good, clean-tasting lagers) , but a friend who appreciates good food and drink was also impressed and surprised at how good this tasted.

Probably just as helpful -- I'd be hard-pressed to trust anything sitting on a paint store shelf for a year, even in a sealed can.
