Shameless self promotion:
The rauch-hellerbock that I brewed at Starr Hill Brewing Co, "Smoke Out," which took a Silver medal in the Pro-Am category of the GABF will be on tap by the end of the week at all 4 Capital Ale House locations.
The newest Capital Ale House in Fredericksburg, VA will open today at 11 AM.
In addition, there will be a tapping event for Smoke Out this Friday, the 7th at 5PM. I will be on hand for the tapping, and hope to share a pint or two with some Realbeerians. (I'll also be available to sign autographs if you would like! ;) )

Could beer, thanks to "The Beergun."
But...there were only ~12 kegs of it available after the beer was sent to the GABF.
Capital ale House has picked up 4, and Dave Alexander at the Brickskellar is getting some, plus Mark Thompson tells me a couple of Charlottesville locations have picked it up.
There can't be much left.
Mark also has referred to this as "oneof those sleeper beers that really take off when word gets out." They are considering brewing more.
Of course, I told him I would love to come down and brew another batch! :D

I've still got one growler left that I got from Mark at the brewery. If I'm not headed to PA to pick up a sixtel of Sly Fox Rauch I'm working on, Then I'd like to head down to the FABTS meeting and Captal Ale House.
I can attest to the goodness of Beerking's award winner here. It is excellent. Here's hoping that it becomes a standard offering from BK and Starr Hill. Put some in Sixtels next time! And save one for the Blue Gray!
Also for the record and with regard to FABTS: I think smoked brews go extermely well with holiday turkeys. I know there are plenty of Saisons and the like that folks like to pair but I think the smoke enhances the birds flavor and complements it. So hows come I never see anyone else pairing smoked brew with fowl?

1. There is a 40 L keg put away specifically for Blue Gray. My personal donation.
2. There WILL be smoked beer at FABTS this Sat. Sorry you'll miss it.

Any chance you might be able to get a growler filled for anyone you know (hint, hint)?
Also, any chance you might be coming to Capital Ale House Friday at 5? I could give you an empty growler to fill at that time.
