Has any tried Uncle Mikes in Pleasant Prarie, WI? I drive by it everyday going to and from work and watched its remodeling evolve into a packed parking lot every afternoon. The sign outside advertises the largest selection of beer around. I plan on visiting soon and was wondering if anyone else has already.

Some of the locals have told me about it, sounds like they have a terrific selection (and two locations now), but it also sounded like they were charging premium prices for pints -- especially for their location.
Check 'em out and let us know!

Second location is out on 94, right next to Timber Ridge, IIRC.

I've been there, and was planning to stop in again on the 25th. They have a ton of great beers there, including the rare and seasonal stuff. Their site was recently updated with tap lists and inventory... http://www.unclemikespub.com/
From what the website says, it sounds like they are opening a 3rd location, the Highway Pub:

That's the one out on the I-94 frontage road I was talking about, I didn't know that Capt. Mike's was part of the same ownership.
BTW -- welcome Emerge! Another BA crossover.

Last night I took the family out to eat. We stopped by the I-94 frontage road location in hopes it had an actual restaurnt area. Realizing we really should not take the kids in we went to Buffalo Wild Wings. But, we plan to return with the kids hangging out with our sitter. With the selection he has going I will have to plan multiple trips. All the more fun...

Are either of the other 2 locations closer to home for you?
Unfortunately, I don't get up that way too much anymore.

Both locations are about the same from my house, about 8 miles from each address. If someone was coming up from Illinois the I-94 location would probably be easier. It's on the East frontage road between the Hyw 50 and Hyw 158 exits, just past Woodmans. The pleasant Praire pub is about 8 miles from the interstate. It is more for those coming North on Sheridan RD or Green Bay RD. I'll try to stop by one tomorrow night and give you an update.

You know I've been wanting to go to the drive in up there with the lil' lady and hit a local bar after, but never knew what was around. I'll have to check out Mike's whenever the next unoriginal Will Ferrell movie comes out . . .
Thank you

The Sheridan RD location is right down the road from Keno Drive In. Now that dusk is getting earlier it will be easy to plan a stop after the movie.
I love the drive in and the kids love the drive in but man, it's so late after the movie in the summer to do anything. I remember back home in the Northwest leaving the drive in after like 3 in the morning in the summer time after a double feature.
I think you are onto something with the drive in double feature/Uncle Mikes trip.

Stopped at the new Highway Pub over the weekend. It was bigger than the other 2 locations, and they had a full kitchen. 250 beers, including several quality $2 drafts, Furthermore Knot Stock for example. The bar was very long, and sort of J-shaped. There were close to 20 TVs in the place, and they seem to show every possible football game at any given time...

I still have not made it. I need to just stop after work one day.

I have been to the one on Sheridan a couple of times and the tap list has gotten bigger and offers some good choices, I just wish they offered more WI beers on tap. The food is limited but the pizza was pretty good.
The bad part is they still have smoking inside, good for some and part of the reason why they are so busy seeing as they are right on the border, but bad for everyone else as it is a fairly small place.
Also this place is known more for its bottle selection and while they do have a very large selection (~400) I just dont get spending that kind of money on a bottle when I can drive to Woodmans and get 3X's the beer for the same price.
Granted its a bar but the music gets very loud at night and there is no dance floor in the place so it is almost impossible to have any conversation while having a beer.
So I would recommend going during the afternoon but not at night, esp Fri or Sat when you can relax and enjoy a good beer.

OK, I finally made it over to the Highway location. Last night my wife and I stopped in with a couple of friends on our way to another party.
Had a good time. Very nice inside, they did a lot of work and looks great. The way the bar is laid out though I can see some elbow to elbow areas if it gets too busy.
Can not say enough about the selection of their beer. Huge list of beers. They have a net set up where they use your shoes as a security deposit to ensure the glass does not walk off. I don't remember off the top of my head which beer that was.
A lot of flat screens with like 14 receivers. This offers a large selection of games and shows to watch.
Very clean, very neat. The male bathroom has only one toilet so on busy nights I can see a back up there. Not much of a food menu to speak but your there for the beer, right?
I will definately start frequenting Uncle Mikes for beer selection alone.
