Has anybody seen or heard from Hogiewan? His last post was back in June of 2007. He was always a great source of info and one of the greatest contributors to this forum.

Wasn't he based out of New Orleans?

I knew he hadn't been around in a while, but didn't realize how long it had been.

I hope all is well and he's just too busy to post.

I was wondering where he was a few months ago. Hmmm....

Does anyone have his name address from a trade that would feel comfortable contacting him? I have his name but not his address though I think I know a way I can get it as I did ship to him once.

No, no... my name is not "Les Paul".

Bonus points to anyone who can pick up the arcane reference, AND to anyone who knows where the avatar came from.

Okay... NOW, hijack over. Where's Hogiewan?

We'll I'm not one to disparage another state but I can't help noticing where Texas is in that picture.

No idea on the avatar, but a les paul has frets and more strings.

Where is the world is hogiewan?

http://www.rentacoder.com/URLSEO/RentACoder/DotNet/SoftwareCoders/ShowBioInfo!aspx/x!Lafayette/y!Louisiana/lngAuthorId!697732/RLarsen.htm
This site shows a Michael Hogan as a contract coder in Lafayette LA, but it has nothing in his profile , and it shows he's unrated as a coder since he's completed no projects. So it could be that Hogie has been busy trying to start a new business and is just too busy to visit the site.

It says he hasn't logged into that site since 2003. :(

I guess I missed that. When I saw him last summer he had been with the same company for several years so maybe's he's just starting a family, or he got religion and quit hanging with us heathens.:D

HOGIE'S ALIVE!

Haven't made contact with him, but he turned up on a bass forum I go to often. It's him; it's his username and he's listed in Lafayette, LA. So maybe he DID give up brewing and wants no part of this place, I dunno... but apparently he's alive and well. :D

Well, if he is on a forum about Bass, then I guess he is still into beer. ;)

Besides, I have never heard of a musician that didn't drink! ;)

Bass -- fish ---- Hah! :D

Actually, he may be attempting contact now, but maybe he's treading lightly...

That was my thought as well. I have been trying to recall if he had words of an unfriendly nature with any other member. I do not recall such. I do hope that all is well for he and his new bride IIRC.

Expect it. He says he's been lurking, but afraid to get back into posting - maybe because he did it so voraciously when he was here? Dunno. But he responded to a PM on the bass board, and he did say he'd come visit soon. He's still brewing, and still playing bass, so all is well. :)

I met another home brewer from Lafayette LA on another forum. He says he thinks Hogie's in his brew club (as in he thinks Hogie just joined).

I told him to say hello. We'll see if that msg gets to him.

Huh? No more so than the rest of us mopes (at least IMO) -- don't be afraid Hogie, c'mon down.

Where did you find work in your industry right now? It took us a lot longer but now we're getting creamed because of the price of natural gas and oil. That's why I have more time on here-I have to do something at the office to look busy.
