Hows it going guys?

I have a barleywine that was brewed a while back sat in the secondary for about a month and now has been in a keg for about three weeks. i put it under about 35 psi and i fill it up about every other day.
when whill it be prime for drinking and should i keep hitting it with CO2 or should i just let it sit?

Hard to tell when it will be at it speak, but Barleywines can survive and condition for a very long time (years). I would go easy on the carbonation as they should not be highly carbonated but rather mellow.

best way to figure this out is to taste it periodically. make sure you fill a couple bottles that you can stash for a few years. Its fun to go back and visit your big beers years later.

But if you"sample" with extreme prejudice 5 gallons wont last for "years" :D

Thus the reason to fill some bottles to stash away.

i have a couple of bottles for that reason.

It should only absorb so much CO2 at a certain temperature and pressure. If you keep having to pressurize it after a couple of weeks, you may have a leak somewhere. So I would say "Yes, give it a shot of CO2 every day or two. That's how I do mine. I don't leave the gas attached, I give each keg a shot of gas every day or two. Some of them don't seem to need any, others I can hear the regulator chirp as it passes gas.

thats what i was doing. problem is that barleywine has been sitting like a week and i wanted to put it at arround 18 psi and when i did i guess it had more in the keg and it filled up my co2 tube with beer so should i just let it sit?
