Sugar water

With a few threads asking about what kinds of sugar to use I thought I'd ask this question. What would you get if you added yeast to plain old sugar water? Say the OG is about 1.050. No real reason behind this one...just curious.

a friend of mine from high school did this when he was 16
it was a disgusting, sugary, but intoxicating liquor.

he was going to build a 'still to strengthen the concoction
but then we turned 19 and went to the LCBO.
