...right at the 30 minute mark, threw the lid on to keep heat, ran to Lowe's, exchanged tanks, and came back and got thing going again. All in all a 30 minute delay in the boil process.
So, what affects might happen? I'm guessing nothing, but... *shrug*

Nothing, except perhaps a resolution to keep a spare tank in the on deck circle so you don't need to make an emergency run.

Ha hah! Yeah, my brother in law told me two weeks ago he had a couple spare tanks and would give me one. Looks like I'm going to take him up on that.

you may get a slightly more bitter beer then you would have other wise.

Bitter from hops being in longer or from something off?

I have three tanks, two stay full at all times.

Oh crap! I'm paranoid then! I have 4 tanks loose for grill and brewing (2 full) and two on camper (one full). Guess the boy scout never really leaves....

Well, since you are new to AG, you'll find that a standard grill tank lasts about three brewing sessions.

From the hops, but it won't be much. At 1 hour your have most of the bitterness cooked out. You'll only get a difference if you added a 30 minute addition before you ran off to Lowe's.
I'm also a 2 tank person.

Nope, nothing added at the unintended flame out :) That was when I noticed it, right when I knew it was time to go for my 30 minute addition. Goooood deal.
