What do you use to take old labels off of bottles? I have a lot of Sam Adams bottles that I need to get the labels off of.

you can almost get those off by letting them soak in water. I fill my sink and put in a scoop of OxyClean and let them soak. Visit 20 mins later to peel the ones that didn't fall off.

I soak in hot water with PBW. This takes off all but the foil ones. After about a 20-30 minute soak, peel the foil off and let those bottles sit another 15 min to get the paper backing off.
Most labels fall right off.

Then you do this (http://www.comics.com/comics/brevity/archive/brevity-20080628.html) with them?

+1 to recommending OxyClean and a hot water soak. I let them sit as long as the wife lets me, which can be day sometimes :)

Honestly, an hour and it'll get a lot of the stuff off Sam labels.

As long as your CAREFUL, I use Goof Off for the extremely hard ones...the ones that people seem to put on with superglue. Just put a dab on a rag and rub on the sticker...take it right off, along with the "glue residue". Of course be careful not to get any in the inside.

I just fill up the sink with Hot Hot water and let them soak for a little while. Then the label just slides off. Then I take a rag and lightly rub the glue off. If the bottle cools down before you rub the glue off you need to rewarm it.
