Is the Temp a big concern after you transfered your brew to the secondary ?? becuase its getting cold out by me and I usaully rack my brews in the basement and it gets a little cold down there . Just wondering if this is a bad thing ???

its not too big of a deal.. as long as fermentation is complete (which it usually is when you transfer), cooler temps won't hurt. i think most ale yeasts will start to go inactive around 60 degrees or so, so keep it above that if you can. certainly keep it closer to 70 after you bottle if you want the bottles to carbonate!

cool - you know I keep forgetting the effect of the temp after bottling. I figured at that point all worries are done , but your right . I have to keep that in mind.
