Bottle caps

I have found on ebay and other sources unused cork bottle caps. Some of them have pretty cool designs and would be fun to use when bottling my "creations." Any advice on using them or why I shouldn't would be greatly appreciated.

Cork goes bad. Cork needs to be treated and then sealed until use. Once is has dried out it no longer offers acceptable protection against air.

It would be a huge risk to buy used corks in hopes that they would protect your beer.
