I was watching my broncos lose again on Sunday and happened to catch a couple of miller lite commercials. I just wanted to see if anyone else had found it ironic that Miller's new ad campaign (at least in the commercials I saw) centered around individuality and non-conformist beliefs and how these core principles have somehow found their way into their product.. the commercials I saw were a human domino knocking over acres of people all the way to the bar, where the patron steps aside, then orders a miller lite.. Or the one where all the people a man sees on the street are wearing identical khakis, shirts etc.. and then stress the point of making your own decision concerning being an individual, which I am assuming for some reason would make you choose miller lite over say....beer.
Am I the only one that finds it ridiculous that miller would choose this avenue to sell their swill? I mean this company's sole purpose is to market tasteless, yellow fizzy crap which the consumer is supposed to lap up. and now people are supposed to snarf up miller lite because its the one beer that stands alone against other industrobrew crap?? just checking

Have not seen the commercials but it kinda sounds like the "herd of individuals" concept. Like in the early 90s every frat boy had to grow a goatee to show his individuality.

i saw thie first commercial you talk about. it's one of those commercials where i didn't come away remembering what it was they were trying to sell. i thought it was a pretty cool commercial though.

It is a well filmed commercial, kind of makes me wonder if everybody really had to fall on their faces for it. I admit that saying be different by drinking miller compared to AB etc. is kind of like saying be different drink Pepsi/Coke (wait a minute that was the sprite ad campaign).

Look at it this way at least some of the beer commercials are getting away from drink this beer and hot naked chicks will flock to you.

What I noticed about it and found interesting is that the voiceover guy says, "You don't want to buck the system, (i.e. drink quality beer), just give it a nudge." (i.e. drink Miller instead of Bud) I thought that was kinda funny....be individualistic, but not TOO individualistic!
