My son used to live in Spring Lake close to Belmar. Nice area. I was in Cape May this past weekend for a little Anniversary trip with the wife. I did manage to sneak in a few brews.

Very beautiful homes in Spring Lake, if I had mad $ I'd have a home there. I'd even buy a pair of rollerblades to skate on the boardwalk .. (in Belmar) .. although I couldn't keep up w/the wife ... but the morning walks there are awesome ...very peaceful ... I love the area.

Best thing about that area is that it's the home of Heavyweight Brewing (Ocean), one of the nation's best microbreweries.

Skip Jersey. Head south to Rehoboth Beach, Delawere. You know what I'm talking about... The world's strongest stout and IPA, a 9% alcohol pilsner on tap, a recreation of the drinks at king Midas's funeral, and good eats. How many of you know what I'm talking about?

Oh I was in Deleware too. I was in actually in 5 different states but only got to two brewpubs both in North Carolina.
I did drink some of the Dogfish beers ( a sixer of 60 Minute). I have visited the Dogfish brewpub in Rehobeth several times and also the branch of the Rams Head Tavern / Fordham Brewing there too. On this trip I passed through DE on Sunday morning took the Cape May Lewes Ferry. I spent Wednesday-Saturday in nearby Ocean City, MD. Bottled Dogfish beers are distributed here in the Washington DC area and are very available
