Thankfully, I have only had three of them, Milwaukee's Best, the Chapeau and the Cave Creek. I agree on all three counts!

I was turned to this thread by Chadwick's mistake. I had to cover my mouth to keep from laughing at work. I love the reviews of things that are so bad that writers have to think of ways to describe it without resorting to vulgar language.
my favorite of the bunch
7. Cave Creek Chili Beer
This is the perfect beer for people who hate themselves and desire punishment. This unholy union of a whole chili pepper and a fiendishly nasty pale lager will get medieval on your tongue.

Go down the list of responses to the article and read what some of the "experts" thought. One guy from yesterday (May 5) thinks that beer from "all brew pubs" should be on the worst beer list. I also like the guy who says he would put Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on the worst list....he feels it's equally as bad as MGD........HA!!

I spent a weekend at the Crazy Ed's Satisfied Frog, the Cave Creek brewpub that makes Chili beer, when I turned 40. Of course I sampled their other brews.

People like that make me crazy -- they have no idea what beer can be or should be.

No "worst beer" list can be complete without Punkin Ale by DFH. It makes me shudder just thinking about it.

Allow me to indulge myself one more time:
Favs from the "Experts"
LOLWUT no heineken, guinness, or other popular imports made the list? You're lying to yourselves if you think anything other than budlight tastes okay, and even it is far from tasting "good".
Wow! that's brand loyality. He must not taste much since the "accident."
Aren't all of these American? Kinda hard to rate world beers when you don't include any foreign brews on your list. Trust me, there are plenty. For that I give your list a big FAIL.
He must have missed the Belgian part of the description for Chapeau Exotic.
I HAVE BEEN DRINKING ANHEUSER-BUSCH'S NATURAL LIGHT FOR YEARS- FROM OHIO TO GEPRGIA TO FLORIDA-STILL THE BEST VALUE FOR TASTE AND PRICE (CONFIRMED BY CONSUMER'S REPORT
He was drinking during this post, he couldn't hear himself. I haven't had this so I can't comment but isn't Natural Light a generic version of Bud. I would like to see that Consumer Report article. In any case, he missed the CAPS LOCK.

The DFH brew I disliked was their attempt at a malt liquor - Liquor De Malt. They used a lot of corn in the grainbill and it surely reminded me of my early days drinking back in the mid 1970s. We drank Schlitz Malt Liquor then. YUK!!!

Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale. I didn't even have to taste it, the aroma was enough.

I would like to see that Consumer Report article.
It was from a few years back and IIRC, the major competition was Miller Lite, Coors Light, and Bud Light -- maybe PBR Light, or some off brew. Gawd forbid they put it up against anything with actual flavor.
I want to know where GEPRGIA is, I can't find it on Google Maps anywhere...

I had a feeling that those were the subjects of the study. CR more than likely picked the best selling brands. The don't compare apples to oranges so they may have wanted to stay in the same catagory. So I would have to agree with Mr. GEPRGIA, it is the best for the money given the study.

nuff said on GEPRGIA.

They may say the beer performs well, but did you see the cost of repair?

It was the overall reliability that swayed me to better beer.

I generally look at the total cost of ownership.

TCO can be deceiving, as they don't take into account the cost of the bottle opener required for some beers.

Don't forget mileage on glassware... oh wait, we're talking Natural Light here.
