I am going to buy one of these for a new kettle. When I get this, I was thinking about using a bazooka screen to use with the drain spigot for racking from the kettle to my fermenter to better strain out the gunk from the boil. Would that be a good idea or would I have to incorporate a false bottom as well? I am only going to use this for the boil at this point, but may use as a mash tun later on...

A Bazooka screen will do a fine job of filtering out trub. It would be a good idea to bag your hops (even pellets) to keep from clogging the screen. I don't have a dip tube or a screen on my keg/boil kettle. I use mostly pellet hops, and just toss them in. I whirlpool the wort after chilling, using a sanitized mash paddle. Then I open the valve and tip the kettle, until trub starts to come out of the hose. That way I leave all the crud behind and no screen to clog. Bazookas can be used in a mash tun as well, with no false bottom. :)
