It would be nice to have email notification for new Private Messages... since those usually occur fairly infrequently.

I dunno about email notification of new thread posts; it seems such a feature is sucking up a ton of bandwidth. Just my $0.02 worth.

I agree. A little flag or letter next to our user name when we have new/unread messages is nice. I forget to check them sometimes and don't reply to people for days. If this is you, I apologize. Good suggestion.

It is nice. Another site I use does that very thing. Although, they don't notify about threads. The people over there were complaining about that feature. My $.02 says they are both good features.

You can turn that off in your "user cp" in "edit options". I did.
The "show all new posts" feature is what I generally use.
