Hey everyone -
first time in here. Looks amazing. I'm 21, live in Petaluma (home of Lagunitas), smoke a pipe and cigars and love good bourbon, scotch, rum, and beer. Favorites:
Lagunitas Imperial Stout
Guinness
Chimay Bleue
Leffe Brune
Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout
and St. Paulie Girl for nostalgic reasons

Welcome Javelin! There's all sorts of goodies here on the boards. Feel free to butt right in to any conversation you feel like! I'm sure everyone here will make you feel welcome as well.

(I can only imagine whatever it was that makes you nostalgic when you have St. Pauli Girl...... *shudder*;) )

Yeah...my dad loved beer. He passed away when I was 14 and I remember him (when younger) drinking a Pauli. It was actually the first beer I ever tried (at the ripe ol' age of 5 or so.) Don't worry though, the man wasn't a complete moron when it comes to beer: He loved guinness, sam adams (really liked the bocks), young's, and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
thanks for the warm welcome. I'll be seeing you around.

Well..I'll answer the questions in reverse for the hell of it. Can I say hell on this board?:

3. Like both Highland and Lowland Scotch but I'm more of a bourbon drinker.

2. Ashton VSG's are great. Camacho Diplomas are wonderful. Padron Anniversary's are also good. Fuente Hemingways. Fuente Don Carlos. But I really like them cuban sticks on a lot.

1. Pipewise I'm a virginia man. The complexities are great. Not a huge fan of aromatics. English blends are good (GL Pease's stuff is fantastic: Renaissance particularly.)

ah...same here...actually, i prefer bushmill's, which is kind of a cross between lowlands and sourmash

yeah, i don't like aromatics that much, either. i like a lot of the english tobaccos or a nice virginian ready rub. plum cake is also quite good.
