There's a new one here that isn't supposed to be here - don't know how to deal with it in the new system... am I missing it somewhere?

I was thinking thinking the same thing. I do see that they have deleted it.
Could we make a sticky listing mods and their respective forums?
A report this post feature again would be nice.

click the little red and white triangle on the top right side of the post, next to the post #, to report it.

Never would have seen the triangle had you not pointed it out. But now I know - thanks!

Did someone disparage Fritz Maytag in some way?

Well, this guy does in the video here- http://beerrecipes.blogspot.com/2008/03/history-of-american-beer.html
In fact, he gets a bunch of stuff wrong in a mere less-than-two-minute video (tho' he's talking so fast, that's not surprising).

Why would that be a reason for Fret to cry "offensive?"
Now, if they'd disparaged Fret...

Well, this guy does in the video here-
As I call it, "13 years of hell?" Yeah, like he endured it. Too bad he didn't have to endure the years of hell between my 18th b-day and the first time I found a craft-brewed beer!! :)
I'd really like to see some research on the younger crowd who never knew life without good beer on the shelves. Finding a small liquor store with strange new brews (EKU 28, Brand, Hacker-Pschorr Hefeweizen) around 1981 was like being Indy Jones and finding the Well of the Lost Souls!
Heck, discovering that a small convenience store over the border in Wisconsin was somehow getting Coors was exciting (it was new from the same ol' around us, it couldn't be had east of the Mississippi at the time, it was... underwhelming)!
So yeah, you guys born into the Renaissance should feel real lucky when you see the variety on the shelves!

Hans Fritz is my new hero.
I like how he talked about microbrewer's but a lot of the footage was of booth bunnies and macro pours.

I get disparaged all the time. And I still come back here. So THAT couldn't have been it... ;)

Reminds me, anyone who has Netflixx can watch Brewed in America (http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Empires_of_Industry_Brewed_in_America/70049438?trkid=226871) on demand on their site. Mostly about the big guys but fairly in depth for a 45 minute documentary.

Time to revive this dead thread.
To the admins/moderators, whoever you are, how do we deal with obvious spam in PM's?

Sorry. I'm not an Admin. I checked the guy's profile, and he is gone. I assume someone else banned him.

I got the PM too, was talking about a virus and scared me at first...
Whoops... reading along "posts today" and I see I don't have the offensive one, just the ManInBlack one. Sorry, wrong thread.

Well I see this has been dealt with already. Although the questions still remains, how does one report a spam PM?

Who's the forum administrator anyway? I got the ManInBlack PM yesterday, so not knowing what to do, put him on my ignore list and then PM'd the first moderator I came across, which was brewmonkey.
Anyway I missed the offending post too, maybe that's a good thing.

See the red-and-white triangle in the upper right hand corner? When you see a post like that, click on the triangle. No clue how often a moderator comes around here anymore though...

I could care less about offensive posts. If you don't like whats been thrown at ya, throw it back.
I do have a problem with dikkheads who fill my PM box with spam or viruses. Some asswhipe did that on Jan. 26th. POS infected my computer with a trojan. Cost me some $$ & time to get rid of it.:(
I'm used to insults & I can handle that. But dikkheadz who send viruses with no particular agenda to unspecting members should be shot...:(
