Repeat email notification

Is anyone else getting two and three email notifications when they're subscribed to a particular thread? I've come home and had no less than 4 emails regarding the same thread. It's very tedious to track them all down. All of the emails I get have this sentence in them: "There may be more replies, but you will not receive another notice until you visit the board again." Or something like that... it USED to work like that; not anymore. What's up?

I use to check my email and have as many as ten or twelve email notifications. They were usually for several threads, but I stopped the emailing. I think I check the board often enough anyway to not need it.

Be warned, if you stop the emailing it will continue to send you emails on threads that you previously responded too.

Are these emails about different posts within the same thread or about the same post multiple times?

To be honest, the system has hicupped on a couple of counts recently, so all the information you can provide helps.

The emails are on different posts within the same thread, but the link usually goes to the first unread post. Hope this helps!

I experience the same situation. Yet, sometimes there will be several new posts but I only get one notification. This getting several notifications for some threads and only one for others has been occuring since I became a member.
