Have you guys noticed that those beer with higher alcohol seems to taste abit weird compared to the normal ones? I bought a few which are all above 10% alcohol and they taste terrible. Is it because of the higher alcohol? So far the only high alcohol beer i like is Bear Beer which is about 12%. :D

Define "weird." Alcohol can impart some different flavors, and sometimes too much can really be too much and the beer will take on a sort of solvent quality, but there are many high ABV beers (many Doppelbocks) that balance a sweet maltiness with a spicy alcohol flavor -- or the sweet, unattenuated malts just cover up the alcohol and you get in trouble later.

You could have also bought some beer that's been sitting on the shelves a little too long -- yeah, high ABV beers will turn if not treated right -- or just grow old.

It could also be the beer hasn't aged long enough or that it isn't a style you are used to. What kind of beer is it that tastes "weird" and what is the weird taste like?

Hopslam (Bell's) has an ABV of 10%. Yet the biting, sweet taste of alcohol is not evident.

Dont recognize it, but had a real good laugh you don't remember something drinking 12% bear beer... Wonder What the problem could be???

Sounds like large quantities of brain cells have been destroyed due to drinking high etoh beer. Time to dry out for awhile, bub.
