...a 25 year old six pack of Guiness. A friend of mine found it when he was cleaning out his basement or garage or (??). He bought them on a trip to Ireland way back. They are the half pint bottles. All labels are intact and the carton is in O.K. shape. I really don't think it would be drinkable. It looks pretty cloudy and there is considerable sediment on the bottom. I think I might keep it around for display and the collectability. It is kind of cool.

As you have 6 of them, why not drink one (just in case it turns out to be amazing)?

I would go with don't drink. It is more than likely not to be good and it might have collector value complete.

Out of curiosity, how in the heck can you tell it is "cloudy." Guinness, by nature, is so dang dark that you can't see through it.

With an accurate desription of the bottles and holder as well as a picture, you might consider putting them on Ebay. You may be pleasantly suprised what amount they might fetch. I have a couple of old small bottles of Irish Stouts and one is Guinness. It is a lot older than 25 years though. Mine is for display only.

Does anybody sell beer on eBay? I've looked and looked and I've never seen it. Seen lots of wine, though... what's up with that?

Yep there is beer on Ebay. Try looking for " full" or "unopened" beer bottles.

Not quite what I had in mind... I mean DRINKABLE beer! ;)

There are, on occasion, some very collectable and drinkable cellared beers that come up for auction. I will be selling some of my 94 and 95 Triple Bocks on there someday.

When held up to a very bright light I can see through it at the top. I just tilt it a bit and get a good look.
