PORTLAND, OR, January 14, 2008 (Rogue Wire Service) – Rogue opened its 10th meeting hall at the Portland International Airport. With the addition of the Rogue meeting hall, the Portland Airport now offers more craft beer than any airport in the world. Other craft beer purveyors at PDX include Laurelwood Public House (2 locations), Stanford’s, Pizzicato, Gustav’s, and Rose City Café.

The meeting hall is located in the international D concourse, home to Continental, KLM, Delta, Hawaiian, Lufthansa, Mexicana and Northwest Airlines.

Eight Rogue ales, stouts, porters, and lagers will be featured on tap, including Kells Irish Lager, Shakespeare Stout, Dead Guy Ale, Hazelnut Brown Nectar, Mocha Porter, Brutal Bitter, American Amber, Juniper Pale Ale, Chocolate Stout and the John’s Locker Stock series, a special brew conjured up every so often by Rogue Brewmaster John Maier.

A selection of Rogue bottles To-Go is available, including Morimoto Soba Ale in 22oz serigraphed bottles, and Morimoto Imperial Pilsner in 750ml ceramic bottles. The pub fare will include Kobe Cheeseburgers served with Rogue Creamery Bleu Cheese, Harry’s Beer Cheese Soup made with Dead Guy Ale, and Zenners Haute Dogs made with American Amber Ale.

To celebrate the opening, Rogue created a commemorative 22oz beer bottle, Port-o-PDX Ale and presented it to Scott Kilgo, Concessions Development Manager.
Rogue’s World Class Spirits will also be featured, including White Rum, Dark Rum, Hazelnut Spice Rum and Spruce Gin.

A Rogue Nation Immigration station has been established and is accepting both U.S. and International Citizens.

At least I'll have something to do next time I get stuck at PDX for hours...an airport pub crawl...I think it might be a first.:D

Is the Port-o-PDX Ale available in stores or was it just a gimmic release for the opening?

Not sure...I imagine it will be a special release available locally and at all of the Rogue Public Houses. I'll check and see what I can find out.

Thanks. Let me know. I work in the aviation industry and would love to get a bottle or two for friends who work at airports in the west.

I don't have it listed in our cooking with beer recipe section

but I bet if you go to Rogue's Myspace Page and ask they'd give it to you.
