Pleasure, My son lives in Wall Township and its his birthday weekend. I thought I would suprise him and drive up for the weekend instead of having him take the train down.

Does your son share your passion for real beer?

If so, you won't be too far from heavyweight. If they're in on that Saturday, Tom's a real nice guy and their beers are all interesting. When I was there yesterday I picked up a four pack of Old Salty Barleywine with a bottle each from '00, '01, '02, and '03...they limited it to 2, for $15 each, and were selling like hotcakes! I also grabbed a 3 yr old 4 pk of the Lunacy Belgian Golden, which he was referring to as his Grand Reserve...

Also, The Basil T's in Tom's River has a new brewer that is doing some nice work...

I have been to a Basil Ts but I believe it was in or near Red Bank. Its been several years. I only hear good things about heavyweight.

Yes, that's the other Basil T's location. Up until about a year ago it was the same brewer in both locations. She trained the guy in the Toms River location, from what I understand...

Heavyweight's slogan says it all: "Small Brewery, Big Beers"!
