I thought this would get better exposure here rather than the trading forum.

Surly Brewing of Minn. will be selling their Darkness RIS on Saturday, Dec. 15th.

(from the Surly website):

"We will be selling 480 - 750 milliliter bottles from the brewery on December 15th. People can buy 2 bottles of Darkness. Bottles are $15.00 each. We will start selling Darkness bottles at 2:00 pm. We can not ship this beer to anyone per MN State Law. Also, we will not save any beer or a place in line for people."

Anybody planning on going? If so, I'd like to work out a trade for a bottle. Send me a PM if you can help me out. Thanks.

Standing in line to get beer? Kind of reminds me of the Soup Nazi episode of Seinfeld. "No beer for you!"

Copycats. Sounds all too much like FFF's Darklord Day. At least FFF had the sense to offer theirs in the summer when it's pleasant to stand in a line weaving through their parking lot. Not sure I'd want to do that in December in MN. I suppose the beer you bring with to keep yourself hydrated while you're waiting won't get too warm this time of year...

If you live in MN, I suppose you're used to it. Have your $30 ready and the line should move pretty smoothly.

Just don't use cash, we are only to use our credit cards to make we don't slow the world down, as per the tv commercial.

Surly has a good reputation. I've not yet tried any of their brews. I'd like to. I'd also enjoy attending Dark Lord Day.

I've got that box in my beer fridge at home and will begin sampling. Thanks again!
