Howdy-
How much alcohol?I just bottled a really smooth, sweet HoneyWheat that has been a real crowd pleaser and finished at 5.8%abv. If you want the recipe (simple!)

Enjoy!

Howdy DallasSVT-
Here's the recipe...
HONEYBLONDE 03 / makes 5 gal.
3.00 lb Wheat DME
2.00 lb Light DME

1.00 oz Saaz pellets / 60 min.
0.50 oz Cascade pellets / 15 min.
1.00 oz Saaz pellets / DryHop secondary
1.00 tsp Irish Moss / 30 min.
WYeast 1056 or Dry Nottingham Yeast
1 hour boil; add honey for last 15 min.
5-7 day primary, 1 week secondary.
SPEC-
OG=1.053, FG=1.008, 43 IBU, 5.8%abv.
Lemme know if you need further details...
P.S. "SVT" is the name of a line of tube Bass amplifiers, used by the rolling stones and just about everyone else in the 60s-70s. Makes over 300 WattsPOWER!!! I'm an old amp repairman and lover from way back...
Enjoy!

BTW-
You can always add another pound of the Pale DME to obtain higher Alc... Adding one pound more will raise OG to about 1.064; resulting in about 7%abv.
You would, however need to age the beer a little longer before drinking. (Higher abv.=Longer conditioning times)
Enjoy!!

No, boil them for 60 minutes. So if you were going to do a 60 minute boil, you would add them at the beginning, if you were going to do a 90 minute boil, you would add them 30 minutes into the boil.
:)

Used to own one myself! I know it's off topic, but very cool that bass players and amp techs have something in common: GOOD BEER!

Alas, the 60s and 70s were a bit before my time. However, in addition to my brewing hobby, I also am a bit of an audiophile. I'd recommend checking out some of
Definitive Technology's loudspeakers (http://www.definitivetechnology.com/), since anything that has built-in subwoofers requiring a 1800-watt class D amp is quite a toy. 11 Hz, baby! :D
I have the BP20s (now the model BP30), and have been very happy with them.
Back on topic, one thing you can try is making a Pale Ale kit from a homebrew supplier, then freezing the beer, and pouring the liquid from the ice. This works because the alcohol has a lower freezing point. Then you'll have an Eis-Pale Ale, with a correspondingly higher alcohol content. This might not be legal, depending on your local laws, as it is a physical separation to increase alcohol, rather than a fermentation process. But it's something to try...

That would not be legal based on Federal Laws, local laws would have nothing to do with it. Any removal of liquids to concentrate alcohol would be considered distillation. Of course, what the ATF does not know cant hurt you right? :D

Brewmonkey....well....if you've had teenagers yet, then you know that what you don't know WILL hurt you!!!
I'm somewhat of an audiophile myself... I have 6 guitars including 2 basses and am hoping for a fretless Ibanez 5 string for X-mas.....that would make my stable 3 Ibanez's a 4 string standard, 5 string fretless (fingers crossed) and a 6 string soundgear.
I also play pretty much everything else I can get my hands on...
I can't afford the really nice stuff, but do what I can...
I have too many damn hobbies, but the most satisfying are Making beer, my music, and computers...

All right... now that we're officially off topic and no one seems to care....
My fretless 6 is an Ibanez Soundgear SD3006 - mahogany body, wenge neck. Sold my Tobias basses to buy two of these and paid my taxes with the difference! I also have a Brian Moore 5 that I play a bunch.

This is even further off topic....but.....
The first time I loaded Windows XP onto a computer at home, the icon it gave me was the little bass guitar.....it's the same guitar I own, except mine is black.....I was really freaked out, I was wondering how windows knew what to make my icon....
Then I dug around a bit and realized that it assigns it randomly...it was still really weird.

I'm a recovering audiophile; I discovered that I was listening to the equipment, recording etc., but wasn't hearing the music...I'm down to 1 guitar (strat) and 1 Bass (peavey Foundation) 1 amp (65 Dluxe Reverb) and a pretty low-end stereo. Here in the mountains, there's so much stuff to do...
Enjoy!!
