So I just received the latest issue of Imbibe and there's a nice article by RealBeer's Stan Hieronymus on breweries that utilize blending techniques. It has a strong focus on Firestone Walker, but also mentions Russian River, Avery, Ommegang and the like. It's a very informative piece balancing history, technique and anecdote.

I've mentioned it elsewhere on this board, but I recommend picking this magazine up. It's not all about beer (no pun intended), but wine, spirits (stong focus), coffee and other beverages, along with the culture that surrounds them. It's also a nice looking periodical.(Man, it sounds like I work for them, but I don't!)

If you want more info click here (http://www.imbibemagazine.com/)

I've found that I really enjoy good drinks - beer, whiskey, coffee, tea and matching them to my food. My wife thinks I'm nuts, but I only drink Dr. Pepper at Burger King and Coca-Cola at McDonalds because it's a better pairing.

Maybe she's right.

No, no, no... I found the Orange Drink at McDonald's to be the superior beverage.

Does that stuff still exist? I thought they only had soda's now. But just the mention of it and I can almost taste it like it were yesterday.

As for Imbibe, I'm not sure if it was here or another board where I saw someone asking about home roasting coffee. There's an article in this issue about it with a list of coffee info websites.
