Well, after reading all of the foam-related threads in this website, I've realized why I've had so much foam since Tuesday evening when I tapped my first keg.
It took 48 hours for my keg to settle down. On Tuesday night when I installed the kegerator system on a new keg, the gauge on my CO2 regulator was way up, not the psi gauge, but the other one. I noticed after 48 hours that it came way down.
My guess is that the keg was pretty shaken up on the way to and from the liquor store and could have been out of temperature too. I was all set to extend the beer line from 5 feet to 7 or 9 feet, but when I got home from work, the foam was gone and life was good!
11psi at 38 degrees and all is well in the world.
