I am going to use a mini-keg to keg my beer for the first time, and intend to use my tap-a-draft unit with it. I have the bung and the adapter that will allow this to happen, but wonder.. do these mini-kegs need to be under-carbonated like the tap-a-draft bottles need to... or can I carbonate as I would if I were to bottle it in glass?

Anybody tried using the mini-kegs like this??

Thanks!!!!!!!

I wouldn't worry about the carbonation level, since the TAD has a relief valve. I've actually never had an over-carbonation issue with the TAD.

Welcome to the board, I used to pass through Hemet every six months or so on business... logged a lot of nights at the Super8!

Thanks for the tip! I hope to use an adapter I got from beer-wine.com to let me use the TAD on those minis.. I also got a cap that I can put on it to limit the pressure to 30psi.. I was just worried about blowing the kegs seals or popping the bung or adapter!

Funny thing about Hemet is that it used to be almost exclusively used to "Pass through".. not anymore.. guess it isn't funny either.. my 32 mile drive from Hemet to Temecula each day now takes an hour!!! Maybe I should look for land in Virginia! :)
