I had one last month - in the Salt Lake City airport. It wasn't very good - too astringent for me. The name is kinda cool.

The name would scare me away. I could never imagine being a polygamist. I get enough nagging from just one wife!

You'd have to work so that they'd nag each other.

I live very close to Salt Lake, so I get it straight from the brewery, it's very good. If you got a bad glass, it probably sat around for a while.
Wasatch doesn't usually do that, it moves pretty good around here.
I'm particular to Uinta brews though.
The only thing that bugs me about our local beer is the 4% alcohol content.
The name is a jab at the local dominating religion, and I personally think it's extremely funny. The beer's catch phrase is "Why have just one?"

Those Mormons are party animals! ;)
Actually, I can poke fun at Mormons because my wife happens to be one....well, used to be one when she was younger....

Yeah mine too, in fact, I still have to hide my beer from her parents...

I just visited an aunt in St. George where I found the Party in a Box 12 pack of "Polygmay Porter", "Old Squatter", "Provo Girl", and "1st Amendament" - (http://www.wasatchbeers.com/pages/beers.html). The Porter is excellent! Smooth full bodied, almost comparable to my absolute favorite "New Castle". I haven't tried the others yet but I plan to incorporate them into my breakfast for the next two weeks as I am on VACATION!

I have 3 bottles at home right now - a hand-me-down from a visiting friend of a friend. Notes to follow, I'm sure.

I found the Polygymy Porter to be a pretty good, flavorful example of a robust porter. It was moderately roasty with a hint of chocolate flavors, and a very pronounced, but drinkable mouthfeel. Just enough hop bitterness too, nothing that would choke you up. I had a couple in one of those mix match 12 packs. All the beers were very good.

Okay, so it's only almost 4 months late - good thing I did a search to see if anyone had posted a previous review...
Label reads: "Why have just one?" I'll dedicate the review to Star and Jinja...
Wasatch Beers, Utah Brewers' Cooperative, Salt Lake City, Utah. 12 oz. bottle, 4% ABV.
Deep, black color with ruby highlights. Thick, tan head that settles slowly to a good cap.
Chocolate and toasted malt nose, balanced toward the chocolate. Some DMS back.
Mellow roasted malt flavor, lingers at the back of the throat. Chocolate malt and some mild dark fruit esters back; black cherry, more sweet than tart. None of the astringency Fast Eddy found - was that draft or bottle Eddy?
Light to medium body with a creamy mouth-feel.
Quite the nice brew at 4%. All flavors well balanced throughout for a smooth roastiness that lets you know it's just robust enough - but not gonna kick your butt.

"Provo Girl"
Hey Monkey, Brewzhound wants to know what the Provo Girl was like.
He, like hopps99's wife, is a recovering mormon and when he was a kid growing up in Salt Lake City he only ever heard of Provo as the place where the crazy people went; of course people meant the psychiatric hospital there, but in his young mind he thought it was the entire city. In fact I think his mother used to threaten to take him to Provo and leave him when he was misbehaving. (Can't imagine why he rebelled.)
Any road, he was curious about how the Provo Girl tasted out.
Thanks
