Hey all you realbeer'ers from Canada and around the world, just wanted to start a new thread since it has been a while and ask what new beers have you tried that you were impressed with.
Recently I have tried to following:
Mill St. Wit - Very good take on a belgian white!
Black Fly Stout - Very surprised at how drinkable this stout was!
McAuslan Scotch Ale - Honestly, very expensive, good but not worth the price.
And what have rest of you tried that is new eh? Cheers!

Not exactly new, but one of my favorite commercial brews:
Boulder Beer's Hazed and Infuzed. Its a dry-hopped ale that I have seen impress beer enthusiasts as well as people who claimed to not really like beer.

I bought a 6-pack of these in May. I didn't like it at first, I thought it had a "wet" finish that did not go well with the hops. However, I finished off the 6-pack with a friend a couple weeks ago, and it had gotten much better, it even had a nice malt profile.
If we're talking Canadian beers, I have been knocked flat on my ass by the new IIPA from Half Pints called Humulous Ludicrous. I also finally got the chance to try Lead Dog Ale by Yukon Brewing, a fantastic Strong Dark Ale. I also got some brews sent to me from Halifax this month; all were decent, but I was not blown away by any of them.

Mcauslan Pale Ale is very good, but expensive.
Tried Black Cat, Rye IPA and Czech Mate from Paddockwood, wasn't overly impressed.
Want to try some Mill St. brews and hey, the Amsterdam Oktoberfest is out - very good!

Tied Amsterdam Nut Brown and was very impressed with it - $2.50 at the LCBO

Amsterdam Nut Brown Ale was a staple for me back when the Rotterdam was a full brew pub restaurant. I've enjoyed many pints draft of it back in the late 80's early 90's.
I've only bought it a few times since then in the bottles.
But here's an idea - who wants to hit the Amsterdam brewery (Bathurst and Fleet - under the Gardener) one Saturday morning for a tour and tasting? Although their beers are expensive in the Beer Store, I believe they only charge $28 for 25 at the brewery!
That's quality for a buck a beer!
If people are interested and in the Toronto area, I'll organize it.

I've had some beers of varying quality from Paddock Wood, plus I would never buy their products at the Sask Liquor Stores... it's all old product and it's been sitting at room temp under lights the whole time. I only buy Paddock Wood directly from the brewery, and it helps to know what is fresh.
