This from DC-Beer:
Hello All......
You're receiving this message because the event organizers at Capitol City Brewing Company recognize the value that comes from putting friendly, motivated, and beer-knowledgeable volunteers at the taps. Last year, the Arlington Chapter of the American Red Cross was responsible for recruiting volunteers. This year we're back in business, and we're recruiting volunteers from BURP, the Wort Hogs, DC-Beer, and other microbrew beer lovers.
The event will be held on Saturday, October 6th from noon-7pm (taps shut off at 6pm) in the Village at Shirlington. Over 30 breweries will be present, along with a variety of food vendors and entertainment. All volunteers will get a free tasting glass, a t-shirt (new design this year), a food ti! cket to use at the Capitol City Brewing Company food tent, and access to a special hospitality area in the back room of Cap City. All you have to do is agree to work a 3 hour shift pouring tasty malt beverages (12-3 or 3-6). Simple!
Please let me know by September 7th if you're willing and able to help this year. Overall, we need to recruit a total of about 100 people to staff 4 teams per shift, so feel free to pass the word along to anyone else you think might enjoy this opportunity and have them get in touch with me directly.
When you respond, please include a cell phone number and t-shirt size (in the event we're given an option). We won't know until September whether you will work the first or second shift, but if you have a shift preference, please let me know and we'll try to accomm! odate y ou.
Cheers,
Dona Lee
