anyone know if the swing top bottles are strong enough for bottling beer?

Ive used the Ikea bottles and had no problems. I bottled beer and mead and they worked great.

for the minimal price difference, why not buy grolsh bottles?
being from ontario, they are about $11/4 bottles. Your only paying slightly more for a pint of (decent imo) beer

The thing Ilike about the Ikea bottles is there 34oz for 1.99. I picked up a few grolsh bottles but the charge anywhere from $2.00 to$2.75 a bottle around here. I know it has beer in it but for $1.99 the bigger bottle sounds like a better deal. That just the wayI think less bottling the better.

sorry OP didnt provide link so I assumed they were pint size bottles. but yes, i would go for the larger bottles too. wonder if IKEA canada carries these as well.

keep them covered well until ready to open, I guess thats easy enough..
