Hi, just wanted to mention a new web site I've put up:

http://www.taptracker.com

It's basically a draft beer availability database. I've tried to make it fairly straightforward and to the point. It relies on submissions for its data. I hope that with enough information it will be quite useful.

I created it out of a family tendency to only go to restaurants that have good beer on tap. My dad and I both hate going out to places that don't have any draft beer. With this site beer lovers can check in advance (or at least submit info to help the next person).

Thanks,
Carl

p.s. I'll put a link back to realbeer.com and the forums next time I update the site, probably in the FAQ. I've done similar for ratebeer.com.

Looks like a great idea.

In theory, nice idea.

In practive, good luck. The majority of people are hot for ideas like this for awhile and then taper off after the initial excitement wears off. If all you're looking for is a general idea of which restaurants have a draft system in place and what their typical beer selection looks like, it could work. Best of luck.
