CANA, Israel (AP, circa 2004) – Christian theologians attach great significance to the water-to-wine miracle at Cana
If there’s a God, and if it is possible to create Universes, and if was She who created this one, and if She comes down to Earth from time to time in order to perform a miracle (making the impossible possible, a clear contradiction), selecting an arbitrary group of folk to lavish it upon to the utter neglect of billions of other miserable wretches, then Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas! [Cheery Hanukka, etc]
But if She did indeed make all this possible, and if She also reads Web postings, then my profound thanks to Her for inventing hops; for without it the Brew would largely be a flop and Weinachtsnacht would be a lesser experience by far.
As for changing water to wine, I do indeed consider it a minor miracle but hardly impossible. One simply irrigates a grapevine
