View Full Version : It's yer choice

Just a little informal poll...If you had a bottle of BMC (or chemical fizz as RE calls it) in front of you and another bottle of somthing else and were told to drink one of them, what would have to be in the second bottle to make you drink the first? I myself will drink just about any beer, BMC included, the only possible senario would be a bottle of Fischer and maybe cyanide. That would probably be a tossup!

We have had a thread like this. I can't remember what the two choices were. I am sure one was Coors. I think you will find that most people on this board, myself included, would chose not to drink anything then the quality of beer we enjoy now. If this thread goes like the other, there will be some interesting responses on how to avoid making the choice.

You HAVE to drink one or the other OR YOU WILL BE SHOT WITH THE GUN BEING PRESSED AGAINST YOUR TEMPLE!!! That should take care of the creative ways out of it!:D

Yeah, violence - it's the answer to everything. Go ahead, shoot, I ain't drinkin' the swill.

Of course, if I drink the swill, and it subsequently causes me to vomit (as it most often does), I suppose I could spew on your pistol and gum up the action so you can't shoot - how's *that* for creative? ;)

I would rather take the bullet to the head.

OF course I could always just use my old Avatar again.......:D

Give me the bullet. I'd prefer to be a Real Beer martyr...

Let's see, I would drink BMC over Heinekin, Grolsch, Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss might be the worst beverage I have ever tasted. Or, if there are only two bottles to be had, I would drink the finer of the two. Then, I would drink the other. I am assuming these beers are free. I would drink them both. Unless it was that stinking berry weiss, blech. I assume I get everyone else's beers too? Sounds like I get to party. The rest of you will have fun watching the party I am sure.

I will use the same reply I did last time were I implied there was a gun to my head. I would pick up the first and manage to spill it before I could drink it. If I now must try the second, A sneeze as I am about to drink would send the swill all over you and your gun.

The point I was trying to make, we don't drink swill.

You need to lighten up. My apology if that just happens to be your style of a wry sense of humor.

I just was wondering...swill is swill, but I would not die because I refuse to drink a macro. Just thinking of all the good beer I would not be able to have makes that decision for me. And yes I do have a slightly wry/dry/cracked sense of humor...I like Monty Python, Black Adder and Mr. Bean for cripes sakes and we all know the British make the worst comedies (AbFab)! j/k:D

I did. I found yours thoughtful enough so I replied, thanks.

I , like the others, would choose not to drink. But there was one beer that was made by Pittsburgh Brewing Company in the 70s called Hop'n'Gator. Two varieties. Both canned. They may have been the first beers I tried and spat out.

I am wondering if you could even really call BMC beer? Not in my dictionary at least.

You obviously haven't perused the last few pages of the Fall Back Beers thread under Pull Up a Stool: General Beer Talk. Or perhaps you came here for an argument? ;)

While the bullet sounds inviting, I would drink the BMC over Shiner Bock. BMC makes me cringe, but Shiner Bock literally makes me spit.

I'm afraid that I'd have to lose the tough guy exterior and fall back on my motto....
"He who drinks and runs away, lives to drink another day."

The other bottle would be a Grolsch. Cool bottles, but the nastiest stuff I have ever put in my mouth. I'd rather go down on Mary Jane Rottencrotch than drink that stuff again.

I would hope that the alternative bottle would be am MGD in a bottle, or god willing anything in a bottle VS a can.

I would have to dedicate the rest of my life to the worship of good beer.
Hey!! Already halfway there!!

There are still too many good beers waiting to be brewed to die today at the expense of an inferior brew.

Don't be daft, paul; it's obvious he came here for ABUSE.... ;)

Can anyone enlighten me as to what BMC is? Is it a brand, or an acronym for mass produced yellow fizz?

Here's a beverage that I think would be worse than whatever that is... Ballantine Beer in a can. UGH!
