This time of years, if I'm cooking a meatloaf, I'll do it outside on the Kamado (rather than heat up the house with the oven), tho' at regular "oven" temperatures rather than lower "smoking" temps. I cook it in glass loaf pan (so I can pour off the grease, since I'm using 80 or 85% lean for taste).

Still, using lump charcoal and a chunk or two of whatever smoking wood I have around, it picks up a nice smokiness anyway. (And I always run a line of BBQ across the top of the 'load, along with coating the top with seasoned bread crumbs.)

I also like to add some chopped green bell pepper and use oatmeal to "cut" the meat, since I like a loose rather than dense meatloaf.
