Brewed my first all-grain batch yesterday. It was supposed to be a strong ale. While draining my mash tun, the wort looked really dark(like porter). It was late, so I didn't give it alot of thought. This morning, while transfering my recipe to my beer log, I realized my mistake. The recipe called for .9 ounces of black malt and my beer included 9 ounces. Reading is such a important skill. I'm hoping for a happy accident. Cheers.
