Hi Everyone~

We saw this thread and couldn’t help but let you know about the new Leinenkugel’s “What’s Your Mix?” website. I invite each of you to visit Leinie's (http://www.leinie.com/?sc_cid=socialmedia) and click on “What’s Your Mix?” to see how folks are mixing the Leinie’s family of beers. You can even show us your own mixing skills by submitting a mix. We’ve gotten some great ones so far.

To Life and Leinie’s!

Allow me to post a positive review for Kettle House's Cold Smoke Scottish Ale - a friend brought me a can just a few months ago. It really was fantastic stuff! Hopefully they'll be in the CO market within a few years - or sooner!

Diane,

Thanks for your interest in this site. We do want participation from the widest spectrum of folks with an interest in beer. We do, though, ask that you spend a few moments and look over the site and see where a promotional post like yours would be most welcome, and that, as the description below it indicates, is the "virtual beer" forum. Posts promoting your various products, website features, etc. are welcome there. Promotional posts in other fora are not welcome and will create negative feelings toward your efforts and products, which I'm quite sure is not your objective. If you have input you wish to add to this site regarding non-promotional issues (e.g., Leinie's perspective on the hops shortage) then you are of course welcome to post such content in the appropriate forum.

Has this beer made it to Billings yet? I haven't seen it. I don't buy beer from the store that often though...

Kettlehouse distribution area (http://www.kettlehouse.com/where-on-tap.html)

Doesn't look good for you; however it might be outdated information. Either way it never hurts to ask your local good beer purveyor; at the very least it may get back to the brewery that someone in Billings was asking about it.

We have a Famous Dave's in Billings. Maybe they are carrying it. I love Famous Daves. Their Pig's Ass Porter is pretty good too.

That's from a different brewer, who also makes Beltian White

Yeah sorry about that. I skipped a few thoughts while I was typing. I meant that since famous dave's in Bozeman carries the kettlehouse brew that maybe famous dave's in Billings would to. And then speaking of famous dave's they serve a good porter there that I like. Pigs Ass Porter.

You're absolutely right. I love their Pig's Ass Porter, and the Beltian White's not bad, either. (I skip the slice of citrus that the trendies seem to have to have floating on top, though. Don't mess with my beer. If you need citrus to make it taste good to you, you need to find something else to order.)

Enjoy!

Don't fruit the beer. I'm pretty sure that is a man law.

Do you have to get some kind of special permission from the Man Board? Is it understood if it is for a woman it is ok?

It all depends on why you are brewing said fruit beer for a woman.

If I were to brew said fruit beer it would be for the same reason any gentleman would brew fruit beer. To make the woman happy, or at least get her off my case for a second so I can go back to making real beer...

Sorry to continue this off topic line of posts in this thread, but fruit in beer has been around for centuries. The whole Man Law "Don't Fruit the Beer" is not real beer law, its BCM Law, wich doesn't count. Sometimes its good to add a slice of lemon or what ever to accent the natural flavors in the beer, or to add fruit to the brewing process it self.

The whole dont fruit the beer promotions by the BCM types was a feeble attempt to make their beers seem more manly, but we all know that they are really just peddling rice and corn flavored water.

This is true. New Belgium suggests serving a slice of orange with their Sunshine Wheat because it brings out the orange peel in the recipe.

It's time we all went back to the "If you like it, drink it" mentality. I even took a sip of a friend's Coors Light the other day and found it unoffensive.

I wouldn't call it BEER per se, but it was unoffensive... ;)

Dogfish Head Peche is decent with a slice of fresh peach in it.

I was just messing around. If you want to fruit your beer have at it. I have to admit also that mexican beer is better with a lime. I don't drink that stuff anymore though so I have no reason to fruit the beer. I mostly drink porters and stouts now. No need for fruit.

There are some very nice Cherry Stouts and Porters out there.
