Looks like Bud Dominion, in another cost cutting move, are no longer going to brew Tupper's Hop Pocket Ale and Pils for Bob Tupper. Hope they find a suitable partner.

Well done to Bob for sticking to his guns. While I know this is difficult for them it's a bit easier for me now that the last remaining reason for having anything to do with Bud Dominion is gone.
Likely suspects for the contract: Clipper City, Flying Dog, Victory, Yards, who else?

 This is a huge disappointment. Tuppers' Pils is my all-around favorite brew, my standard household quaff... I've bought more cases than I can count, and had a keg at my wedding.
I commend Bob and Ellie Tupper for not giving up on the Pils, and look forward to giving lots of $$ to the whichever brewer accepts the mission of making this fine beer.
I'd had high hopes for the new OD ownership, mostly because they were continue to brew the Hop Pocket beers. But now....

I am sickened at the news coming from OD. I had held high hopes that some things might actually get better after the sale even though other things obviously were going to change. I'm not yet writing them off but am close. read the following further bad news as posted on DC-Beer:

New River Pale Ale looking for new Contract Brewer
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New River Brewing Company's long relationship with Old Dominion Brewing Company (recently purchased by Coastal Brewing) is coming to an end and we are looking for a new place to brew New River Pale Ale. This award-winning ale (GABF Bronze and Silver Medals, USBTC Grand Champion 3 years in a row) is now sold in 7 states. If you are interested or know someone who is please get in touch with me ASAP.

Besides Oak Barrel Stout and some of the seasonal and pub only offerings, Hop Pocket Pils, Ale and New River were their best beers IMO. Hopefully both brands with find a suitable home. I used to be a big proponent of OD, but since the buyout and the moves they have made to cost cut, my loyalties will be going elsewhere.

I sent a note to Bob Tupper and got a very nice reply. I'll see if he'll let me post it.

I'd be happy to take over, if they don't mind it in 2.5 gal batches ;)
