Between the big two - which brand of yeast do you use?
I use Wyeast, mostly.

White Labs.... since that's what MoreBeer carries. I'd like to try some Wyeast, especially in beer styles I've brewed before. I'd be interested in the differences.

I have enjoyed success using Wyeast. I have not used White Labs. I would try it, but the other brew shop in town that carries it is a business that I chose not to give my business.

My LHBS carries Wyeast…but only the basic ale and lager yeast so I ordered whitelabs online form midwest for the last 12 batches…I’ll never use anything else. Very reliable…
i use white labs. mainly for several reasons:
i've never been able to get all the yeast out of those wyeast toothpaste tube containers.
the white labs test tube is reusable for yeast harvesting.
my LHBS now carries all the white labs yeasts and they're never out of date.

My store carries both White Labs and Wyeast, and while I've had good results with both, I find the White Labs containers easier to deal with. Even tho I make a yeast starter for most batches I brew, I still prefer the White Labs tubes to the Wyeast smack packs or their "toothpaste tubes" as a previous poster called them. (I like that...I couldn't figure out what to call them!) But for results, either seems very good, as long as you pay attention to the freshness date (don't buy yeast more than a few months old) and how they store the yeast (should be in coolers). By the looks of the posts on this thread, it seems like what your store carries is the deciding factor.
